Interesting goings on in the world lately what with Pakistan, Iran and North Korea.. but heck, how much of a threat do they really pose compared to our current government? - Rep/Dem inclusive.

Are we just stupid. There is acting honorable then there is stupid and hell, falling on a sword is stupid. Yeah, lets air our dirty laundry to the terrorist and those that would put an end to our way of life. Releasing the CIA memo's was just plain dumb but is now even dumber is the tit for tat political bickering that is going on. Damn, just move forward people. If they don't, I think they are going to get caught in their own lies. Like - Pelosi, did she hear or was she briefed? maybe, maybe not but someone somewhere has a transcript and it may come back to bite her.

Can you spell Banana Republic? We may be heading down that path? Why would I say such a thing.. oh my.. well, easy. In a "BR", the old political machine is voted out or pushed out or overthrown and what happens? The new regime changes the laws to meet there needs, etc. and that puts the old regime in violation and therefore open to prosecution. mmmm.. sound familiar. We are going down that path as well. The current administration has changed it's mind about going forward (can you also spell flip flop) and will try to prosecute the former administration for "enhanced interrogation techniques". Give it a break!!! Are they going to bring charges against Condy Rice? Doesn't congress, et al have something better to do??? Like trim more than 1/3000000th of a percent from current spending...

And speaking of that, what a joke! It's almost insulting. Here we are, with Obama telling us to save save save.. greed is bad, etc. yet he is ramping up the largest budget and deficit in history!

What.. did you say blame it on Bush since he caused all this problem? mm... interesting theory.. WRONG.

Did he contribute.. sure he did, along with Clinton and the past 2 Congress'. (did I get that abbreviation correct?). BUT, let's examine a few facts as put out by the government (CBO, GAO or some other alphabet group).

• 11 cents on the dollar is for stimulus
• The majority of the money being spent will not impact anything for 2 years or more
• Very few "shovel ready jobs"
• A few billion in ear marks
• etc, etc, etc....

11 cents.. pretty low
impact in 2 years - smells like buying a re-election
Shovel ready.. how about technology etc.
Ear marks.. don't get me started on that one!!

And the budget.. damn, it's just spending on social program and entitlements that we tried to eliminate years ago. I saw a stat recently that showed that spending on some of these social programs was actually increased with Bush.. but they are being quadrupled with Obama.

Oh, by the way..they are spending OUR money.. er.. sorry, China's money that we are borrowing. Comfy with that?

The budget issue and results are all on him! No one else. He can't blame Bush or anyone else for spending that much money on those programs. Only him.

Let me refresh your mind of the lunacy.. He says, Vegas is bad.. yet there will be a train from Disney to Vegas that will cost $8b? yeah.. right.

Introduction..

Well, I'm just a guy.. a pretty pissed off guy. OK, why am I pissed off? Good question. But before I get into that and into miscellaneous rants and other thoughts.. I'll give you an introduction. You can always google my name, or look me up on LinkIn for more background.

I'm Ed, Edward, Eddie or hey you.. depending on who you are. I'm "middle aged", working for 30 years, private business owner, worked in the corporate world for years, a husband and a father of a very special young girl.

I live in Texas although I have lived in many places. Where I have lived has given be insight into the world. I have also travelled extensively with also gives me insights.

I'm a boating kind of guy. I love boats; any type, size, shape or propulsion. Personally, I am a sailor. I have 2 sailboats although one is for sale... interested?

I was a basketball player in college and enjoy college sports.. but that's about it on the sports side.

So, what will be my rants and other thoughts? Guess - you got it.. the state of our current economy, the political environment, the socialization of Amerika, our idiot politicians on both sides of the isle. By the way, on that topic.. of the isle. There is no ISLE. It's one building and one country. The ISLE doesn't distinguish the idiots or ideology. Who are they kidding.

I'll also talk about hurricanes and the weather. I should have been a weather guy!

I guess that's it for now.. but just for now.
