NOW I’m PISSED. So before I was only mad, but now I’m just damn pissed. (Ok, so ask me why… come on…. ask.. please…)
We need a freaking revolution in the country and the latest elections were not it… oohh.. Strong words. Hell yes. When I tell you why, then you should be mad too. And if you are under 40 you should be raving mad!
Unless you live in a cave, or are apathetic as “all get out”, then you have heard about the government’s deficit reduction committee. The problem to start with is the title… the “government’s” deficit reduction committee.
I’ll give it to you short and sweet. (WSJ, 12/2/10)
1. They are going to raise the age for SS retirement to 69
2. They are going to eliminate itemized deductions such as the deduction for mortgage interest.
3. Increase gas tax by 15 cents
4. Virtually eliminate the write off of charitable donations
5. Freeze pay for federal workers (ok, I like this idea but it’s only $15b)
6. Cut Congress and WH budget by 15% (big whoop)
7. Screw with the Medicare payment system (although like typical government, they don’t say how.. but it will save money.. trust us)
8. Eliminate earmarks, better known as pork. (now they are getting somewhere)
9. Capital gains taxed as ordinary income (so an increase from 15% to whatever. Probably a 13% increase)
10. Cap tax deferred retirement accounts (IRA/401k) at $20k. Now that will be good for the people to save money when the government is robbing their SS.
11. Tax corporate health insurance. Can you say “premium increase to the employee?” Hell, that’s just another tax.
12. “streamline the tax brackets”. Yeah right, we’ve all heard that before. How about a flat tax or no tax and a national sales tax? Like the fairtax proposal?
So, do you get the jist of this? Notice a “trend”. Basically this is a huge tax increase under the guise of elimination of deductions. Some recommendations are a flat out tax increases like the tax on gas. Who will that one hit.. the middle class or the rich?

Who are they lying to? You and me and the rest of the stupid Americans that will accept this.
Come on folks. We give them this and it’s over. Do you think all this revenue, that will “reduce the deficit”, will actually be spent to do that? Show me a congress or president, of any party, that when given more money, doesn’t spend it??? (or should I say “piss it away”)
Example.. where is the money for Medicare? Where is the money for Social Security? Oh, wait, they gave us IOU’s. Liars.
If you were at home and you had reached a max on money and you were going into debt, what would you do? You’d start looking at what you could cut. You’d cut the dinners and the wine. Maybe you’d cut back on smoking or look to carpool or you’d buy generic at the grocery store. My point is, you’d cut back.
SO, THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION – IN ALL OF THESE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE VAUNTED COMMITTEE, WHERE ARE THE CUTS????
What really gets me mad is that they change the benefits for SS and Medicare after they ROBBED them. Why don’t the put the damn money back!?? SOB are thieves. They steal from us then say..mmm… sorry, we are broke so we’re not going to give you what you’ve been putting in.
How about cutting???!!! Let’s get back to the constitution. Tell me….
1. Where it says we have to fund the public arts and exhibits like the recent Jesus desecration at the Smithsonian?
2. Where it says we have to fund NPR?
3. Where it says we have to give Billions to corporations that are failing because of bad management?
4. Where it says we have to fund rich union pensions?
5. Where it says we have to fund every damn program around the world.
6. Where it says we are supposed to give to countries that just take our money and line their corrupt pockets?
7. Why we are giving loans to EU banks?
8. Why oh why we funding a completely useless and corrupt UN???!!
9. And lastly, tell me when does unemployment benefits for 2 years become welfare?
How about they try cutting??!! I’m sure we can cut a ton of other areas. Like why do we need state and a federal education commission? Cut it. Mm… no, they are big government and they don’t do that.
Any guess what??!! WE ARE GOING TO LET THEM DO THIS TO US!! Mark my words.. the American people are going to let this happen and we will wind up a 3rd rate country.
Think about this for a second. We give money to xx country or for xx cause overseas or for xx public system like NPR. Who’s money are we giving? Hell, we have to BORROW IT FROM CHINA!!
The new members of congress are going to be just like the old members of congress. I promise you that they will be corrupted by the existing members. We need a clean sweep, we need strict term limits and as Bobby Jindal said, we need congress to meet part time.
Now do you see why I’m so pissed??!!!
